About us

We are an established family firm with a renowned reputation for developing high quality homes constructed from natural materials.  We specialise in housing developments from single homes to 60 homes, however, we have developed numerous conversions and undertaken some of these as contracting work.

Our Philosophy

We pride ourselves on the quality of our product and our reputation for this significantly aids us in the selling of our homes.  We offer a personalised experience as we appreciate that buying a new home is a big decision and buyers need to be involved in the building process and make choices to personalise their house to make it a home.

What we do

Whilst predominantly housing developers, i.e. buying land, building new homes and selling to the general public, we do take on contracting work such as building new homes or barn conversions for clients. We have undertaken numerous barn conversions over the years and have good experience in this area.

 The history of Snell Construction

Philip and Margaret Snell started building houses in 1977 and operated for 30 years in the industry, their sons Andrew and John now run the business.  Andrew, who has 20 years experience in the industry, started joinery straight from school and now runs the on site construction side of the business, whilst John joined the firm in 2002 after going to university and runs the sales, planning and background side of the business.
Together they make a good team with their mix of knowledge on construction, planning and all other housing development aspects.  Both liaise with customers and do their best to ensure customers have an enjoyable and relaxed process in buying their new home.  Whilst Margaret still helps out in the office occasionally, Philip spends most of his time gardening, however he is always at hand should Andrew and John need some sound advice.
